Do You Need Lots of Contents

A call to a client, I ask questions that highlight how bad a lot of "Top 10/20/30 SEO tips" guide is done. The question is quite logical, but if we as a blogger SEO (ie, teachers) are doing a little more thought and a little less repeat, I never wanted to have customers confused here. Client asked:

"There are two principles of SEO work for me, and I do not know which one to follow.

On the one hand, I said that I need a lot of content, because Google loves content. On the other hand, I said that I should concentrate my PageRank through the use of good information architecture.

The problem is more of my content, the need to put a link to my page for all of them that can be accessed by search engines. And it was withdrawing the PageRank flowing in all directions.

What should I do? "

Answer: Cut the crap. Err, I mean fun.

When people say you need content on your website, there are two reasons.

1) So, you can show your search engine relevance, by entering keywords on the page.

2) For the interesting link.

There are also reasons given in vain circle:

3) After more content to make you a better ranking. (Sometimes simplistically defined as "Googlebot loves fresh content." That's a bit different though, as you can see I explain in a minute.)

This is the last reason for a particular calculation, and repeated so often and so often without explanation made me toxic.

If you have enough PageRank and publish new content on a regular basis - yes, Googlebot will often go back to your site to crawl your article, which is then indexed. However, if you have a lot of fun - even published a unique 5 new, original articles a day - Google does not care. No One heard the tree fall YOU ...

Once you've crossed the threshold from 1 CAUSE YOUR content - such as providing enough text to Google to understand what your page is about - what you need to link.

Now, in certain circumstances, can make you more fun rank "better."

       * If you add more content to existing pages that have more than minimal, the content, to attract Longtail search traffic, you will rank better in terms of getting more visitors. Not see the difference in the rankings for your keywords shorttail.
       * If your page is light on content (eg, under 50 words), may be little difference in large numbers when the little things. You will improve the user experience, usually, when you explain things. And we know the Google algorithm aims to present a good user experience.
       * If you publish new content on a topic in which Google considers that the 'on demand freshness,' (by Dave QDF coverage) you can get the first drive, which disappeared after a time.
